Picture of Lisa LeTourneuxLisa LeTourneux graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon with a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling (Marriage and Family Therapy). Her areas of interest include working with couples, families, and older adults, and in the areas of relationships, addictions, and career counseling.

A Portland native, she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Scripps College, in Claremont, California.

Lisa is an associate member of the American Psychological Association and the Oregon Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and she has presented at international and local Marriage and Family Conferences. Most recently she presented a research project on counseling older adults at the 2006 International Family Therapy Association World Congress.

As a therapist, she draws on her compassion and empathy for others. She believes therapy can help people utilize their strengths, and it can guide people through lifes challenges.

In many cases, Lisa encourages her clients to invite family and friends to sessions. Their participation often helps the client apply the therapeutic discussions to daily life, increasing the effectiveness of therapy and decreasing the number of sessions needed before a client sees positive changes in his or her life.
